Sample Testing — Proof of Performance Before Shipment
Before any hose clamp assembly machine is shipped to a customer, we produce a representative batch of sample hose clamps using the actual machine destined for that customer — running with the customer's own components (housings, bands, and screws). These sample clamps are then packaged and shipped directly to the customer for independent evaluation.

Independent Torque Validation — Tested by Your Instruments, to Your Standards
Once the sample clamps arrive, the customer is free to conduct comprehensive torque testing using their own calibrated instruments — verifying that every clamp produced by our machine meets their specific quality standards. The testing covers two critical parameters:

In addition to sample testing, we warmly welcome customers to visit our factory to conduct on-site machine verification. There is no substitute for seeing a machine perform in person — and we encourage every customer to take advantage of this opportunity.
During a factory visit, customers can:
- Observe the machine running in real time — watching the complete assembly process from component feeding through finished product output;
- Conduct live torque testing — selecting sample clamps directly from the machine's output and testing them on-site using either our equipment or their own portable instruments;
- Verify production speed and consistency — confirming that the machine delivers the specified output rate with consistent quality across an extended production run;
- Inspect build quality and craftsmanship — examining the machine's mechanical construction, electrical integration, safety systems, and overall finish;
- Meet the engineering team — discussing technical details, asking questions, and building a direct working relationship with the people who designed and built their machine.
We believe that transparency builds trust — and there is nothing to hide behind. Our machines speak for themselves on the factory floor.
Continuous Adjustment Until You Are Fully Satisfied
We understand that every customer has unique requirements — and that no two production environments are identical. That is why Frand's commitment does not end with the initial sample test or factory visit.
We will keep adjusting, fine-tuning, and optimizing the machine until it fully meets your needs.
This is not a conditional promise — it is a fundamental principle of how we do business:
- If the free torque is outside your acceptable range — we adjust the screw engagement system until it is within specification;
- If the destructive torque does not meet your minimum threshold — we recalibrate the riveting force and locking parameters until it does;
- If the production speed needs to be optimized for your specific cycle time requirements — we fine-tune the servo motion profiles and timing sequences until the target output is achieved;
- If any aspect of the clamp quality — visual, dimensional, or functional — does not meet your expectations — we work with you iteratively until it does.
